I Miss You
Chapter one
Hello there the angel from my nightmare...
The children watched through the window as a young girl was escorted in to school by some one who looked like her mother. The girl had long curly brown hair. She was dressed in old and tattered clothes, though her mother was dressed in the finest dress some of the students have ever seen.
“Is she poor?” asked a little girl with a laugh.
“Maybe she’s an orphan!” suggested a boy.
“Don’t be stupid, they don’t let orphans in to the school, you have to have money to come here!” Said an older girl who was standing by Romulus.
Romulus leaned over some of the younger students to get a better look at the girl, but lighting flashed and the girl disappeared along with her mother.
Romulus awoke to the rain pounding on the window. He looked around for his alarm clock. It was 6:00, He never set it, he had already gotten use to getting up early, but it was there for reinsurance. His first class was due to start in two hours.
He got up from bed and began to get ready for the day. Romulus looked in to the mirror; a face of a tiered man with tired eyes looked back at him. His light brown hair was dotted with gray hairs. His eyes reminded him of a man who had lost something. He had lost something.
The last time he had seen Alecto was when he graduated school. Not one of her friends had heard from her after she graduated school. They said she was accepted in to a very high regarded college, on a scholarship.
After Romulus graduated he went to a college too, though he was sure, it wasn’t as great as hers. Then he got a job as a Professor, at the boarding school, where they first met, hopping that someday she would return to enroll one of her children at the school. He knew that would never happen though. Even though Amethyst Academy was a top school, she was too caring to leave her children there.
A knock came at the door from in his office. Romulus knew it was probly a student wanting to ask a question about some piece of homework he assigned. He walked in to his bedroom, hopping to get another hour with the memory of Alecto, before he would have to return the real world.
